@t D Mall
It is the time of year when people were overflowed with joy. Last night we celebrated our Christmas party, before that day I was on a swing shift duty and went home around four in the morning. So I told my self that tomorrow afternoon I will be going to a rush shopping to buy the clothes and shoes that I'm going to wear for the occasion. I thought this would be an easy task without help from someone.
Then the day came and I wake up past eleven in the morning then eat breakfast and right after went to the mall. It was already past twelve noon when I left home riding my bike with a speed of 60kph/hr. At the mall I'm wandering around to look for a polo shirt or long sleeve polo. It takes an hour for me before I was able to find the best polo that is worth to spend the money that I worked for several days. Before I found this garment I already have in my mind what would be the design and color of the polo. As I go back and forth from different boutiques to the garment section I'm luckily stood up into the polo shirt section where I can choose many designs and colors. If only I have much money then possibly I bought them all. It is worth the time I spent for it since the quality is good and the price is fair enough most of all it satisfies my expectation.
Then I went to the shoes section on the third floor of the mall, here there are several branded shoes and designs. I started to wander around looking for the best shoes and since there were too many designs I was confused which one to pick. Actually the designs are pretty much old fashion and it didn't attract me at all. Since I was tired of walking around and still can't find the shoes that I'd like, so I have had texted a friend asking for her suggestion and comments. Thanks to her and she made up my mind and given me some ideas what to do in this kind of situation. So I told my self if ever I will not be able to find a shoe then I'll be using the pair of shoes I bought last year, I only even use it twice. Then I go and forth from one boutiques to another and went back to the mall shoes section. Well there are some branded shoes that I'd like but not that much, since none of these shoes design can satisfy my wants other than that they are too expensive to spent thousands of pesos. Now I'm tired and still not able to find the pair of shoes, then I decided not to buy at all.
Last but not the least, I went to a shop where I can buy gel, perfume and handkerchief then went home.
@t D Party
So the night came and the party has started. When I was about to came up stairs I saw an old friend of mine which was so pretty with her dress. She's quite ashamed of her looked or probably she's just not use to the dress that she wears. She asked where the hall section is and I don't have idea either then I notice that it’s quite a bit noisy on the second floor so I told her it could be upstairs. So we went together and gladly it is the right room, we were actually twenty minutes late when we arrive.
The party started with a prayer in a form of a song then followed by our Philippine national anthem. It was like the first time that I saw the video of our national anthem which shows the patriotism and heroic act that our fellow Filipino did during the war. After the general manager of the company welcome everyone and officially announce the party. The dinner was served after the management officers give their speech. The cuisines that were served aren’t tasty at all though it is better than nothing at all.
After the dinner we went outside for picture taking it last for about thirty minutes. This is the only time I enjoyed the party. Then we went inside and the impersonation contest has started. The first group were pretty much good at impersonating the ASAP celebrity, they really got the attention of everyone. Other groups impersonate the HAGIBIS BOYS, Lady Gaga and some impersonate the manager of the company.
One of the highlights of this event is the raffle promo; when the raffle started everyone don’t want their name to be called for the minor prize. The minor prizes are the following, back packs, umbrella and USB. Then the next sets of prizes are flat iron, oven and others. While the major prizes are canon camera, flat screen TV, sound speakers and a notebook laptop. Everyone wanted to have the notebook laptop since its price is some how expensive and that includes my self. After the raffle those names that were not called somewhat in despair. After the contest and raffle promo it was followed by awards, these awards are for those people who seemed to work hard or possibly cheated their record stats. Well anyone knows about this issue, anyways the party has ended and we went home with a friend of mine in despair. We said to ourselves that maybe we were not lucky enough to get those prizes and awards and must work hard to get it. Some other people get the major prizes at the same time get an award. Lucky for them while us who seemed to work as harder than they do just get nothing at all.
That’s how the story goes, at first was too excited about the event and enjoyed mingling with our friends then suddenly we end up in bad mood. Well maybe there are just things that are not really for us and maybe we are not just in the right place for this achievement. No matter what we do, as long as you no longer like the company you work for, the people around you and the job that you are in then you could not be successful. Success can’t be measured by awards or prizes but it also comes in different form such as satisfying thy self and being happy on what you do.
Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness. ~Robertson Davies
